In the summer of 2021, Dutch medical giant Philips announced a recall of 3.4 million CPAP machines that are used for sleep apnea. CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and the company recalled machines sold before April 2021. The recall only impacted a device if it was sold in the United States.
