Our team takes your case personally — discrimination should be eradicated from all professional environments.

It’s unlawful for an employer to discriminate against someone based on:

    Gender or sexual identity

Remember, you don’t have to entertain questions about your gender or sexual identity. This is none of your employer’s business and information that should be shared at your own discretion.

    Race, skin color, or ethnicity

A lack of diversity at a company can be a telltale sign of discriminatory hiring practices.

    Mental or physical disability

Employers must comply with ADA regulations.

    Pregnancy or childbirth

Many employers have a misconception that a new mother might not be able to handle a promotion or project that might improve their career.

    Ageism

Is rampant in the professional world which can often lead older people to be phased out of certain roles and companies.

    Religion

Should not be brought up or discussed by your employer or potential employer at an interview or meeting. You have the right to keep your religion private.

    Marital status (among other things)

Your employer or potential employer should not ask you about or request evidence of your marital or relationship status.

Employment discrimination can take many forms. Some common types include:

Not hiring, firing, or reducing someone’s hours, based on one of the discriminatory factors mentioned below.

Excluding someone from training, promotions, benefits, or other opportunities, based on any of the factors above.

Comments and jokes in the workplace that belittle someone for any of the factors below.

Any type of segregation based on any of the factors below.

Any type of harassment based on any of the factors below whether from employers or colleagues.

We believe that everyone deserves to work in a safe, healthy, and caring environment free of hate and fear. You are not alone. We are here to make sure that you receive laser-focused attention as we build our case, taking extra care to support you through this difficult time.
