It is unlawful for an employer or employee to harass a person through unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical interaction of a sexual nature. Harassment may also include offensive remarks about a someone’s sex, such as harassing an individual by making offensive remarks about their gender or gender identity.

Although the law doesn’t directly prohibit teasing or offhand comments harassment is illegal when it is frequent or severe enough to create a hostile or difficult work environment, or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted).

Inappropriate touching or unwelcome sexual advances

Blocking, trapping, or otherwise intimidating movements

Non-sexual inappropriate comments about gender
Both genders can experience this if they are of the gender minority in their workplace.
The harasser may be the victim’s supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co-worker, or even someone who is not an employee at all, such as a client or customer. Your employer should protect you!
